Last updated 21/10/2026

Introduction

At The Regional HR Consultancy, we want to be upfront about how we handle your information. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have any questions, you are welcome to get in touch through the details at the bottom of this page.

What personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact form submissions: When you fill in an enquiry or contact form on our site, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever details you share in your message.

  • Newsletter sign-ups: If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name.

  • Booking information: If you book a call through our website, our booking tool, Calendly, collects your name, email address and any details you share when booking.

  • Client and lead information: Once you engage with our services, we may store your contact and business details, along with notes on our conversations and the services we provide, in our business systems.

  • Client onboarding form: When you start working with us, we may ask you to complete an onboarding form with details about your business and the support you need.

  • Website usage data: We use our website platform's built-in analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed, time spent on site, device and browser type, and general location at a country or city level. This is aggregated, non-identifying information wherever possible.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, such as health, financial, or government-identifier details, through our website, and we ask that you do not include this kind of information in any form you submit to us.

How we collect personal information
We collect personal information:

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form, subscribe to our newsletter, book a call, email us, or otherwise get in touch;

  • Automatically, through cookies and our website analytics when you browse our website; and

  • Through our business tools once a working relationship begins.

Why we collect, hold, and use your information
We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you have asked for;

  • Manage our relationship with you as a lead or client, including invoicing and account administration;

  • Send you our newsletter or marketing communications, where you have opted in;

  • Understand how people use our website, so we can improve it; and

  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we only use it for the purposes described here, or a purpose you would reasonably expect.

Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies, small files stored on your device, to help the site work properly and to give us general information about how visitors use it, such as pages viewed and time spent on site. This information comes from the built-in analytics provided by our website platform, Wix.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of our site may not work as well if you do.

Sharing your information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • With service providers who help us run our business, such as Wix (our website platform, form tool and email newsletter tool), Calendly (our booking tool) and Microsoft 365 (our email and file storage);

  • Where we are required to by law; or

  • With your consent.

These service providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us, and are bound by their own privacy and data protection obligations.

Overseas disclosure: Some of the service providers we use, including Wix, Calendly and Microsoft, may store or process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, including relying on the security and privacy commitments of these providers.

Direct marketing
If you have subscribed to our newsletter or opted in to marketing communications, we may send you updates, offers, and content by email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still need to contact you about services you have engaged us for.

How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes using secure, reputable platforms, such as Wix and Microsoft 365, to store client and contact information, and limiting access to personal information to people who need it to do their jobs.

No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access, correction, and complaints
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date. You can also ask us to delete your information or unsubscribe from our communications at any time.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you can lodge a complaint with us directly, or contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
